Position: Source Inspector
Location: Indianapolis Area

Pay Rate: $35.00 an hour
Job Summary:
As the Quality Inspector you will support onsite at supplier facility who specializes in the machining, fabrication, forming of the below listed commodities. As the quality inspector you will utilize various inspection equipment to validate conformance of product thru the manufacturing process.
- Turbine & jet engine components
- Complex and/or large diameter hot-section assemblies
- High temperature exotic materials
- Precision, small-turn components
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform First Piece, In-Process and Final Inspection activities
- Experience in machined product such as 5 axis machined parts, lathe, hydroforming, tig welding and non conventional fabrication such as wire and hole drilling and multi axis laser cutting
- Inspect Certificates of Conformance from material, external suppliers, and other service providers to ensure these items conform to customers purchase order requirements and specifications
- Perform a wide variety of conventional/traditional inspection operations utilizing various inspection techniques
- Assist machinists in quality-related activities
- Experience with First Article Process (Preferred)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Min 5-10 years of practical experience performing in-process and final inspections on various commodities, including but not limited to Machined parts, Assemblies and Sub-Assemblies.
- Understand Aerospace standards, such as but not limited to, AS9100, AS9102, ANSI Y14.5 – Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T)
- Must have the ability to read / interpret engineering drawings and Purchase Orders (POs).
- Experience using various mechanical inspection tools
- Experience performing First Article Inspections (FAIs) in accordance to the AS9102 standard
Must:
- Work in fast paced manufacturing environment
- Provide PPE as required per supplier policies
- Stand, sit, bend, kneel or maneuver as required to complete inspections
- Must be able to meet ITAR requirements
