Job Description:

This role involves conducting inspections and tests to ensure compliance with contracts, client requirements, and standards. Responsibilities include validating certifications, using inspection tools, and analyzing data. The position also involves training others, participating and reporting on activities. A high school diploma and 2-3 years of inspection experience are required, with preferred qualifications including a high level of GD&T understanding.

 

Responsibilities include

  • Conducts tests, inspections, audits and validations to ensure process compliance with contracts, our client and group requirements and specifications for design, engineering, products, equipment, maintenance and services.
  • Uses and cares for inspection tools, measuring and test equipment.
  • Conducts sampling inspections in accordance with approved plans and procedures.
  • Provides training and tutoring to other inspection personnel.
  • Provides activity and status reports to management.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

 

Basic Qualifications

  • 2-3 years inspection role.
  • U.S. Citizenship Status required due to client requirement.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required plus 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Familiar with material and product certifications

 

Preferred Qualifications*

  • GD&T Qualification
  • Understanding of inspection tools i.e. caliper thread and plug gages.

 

*Candidates who possess preferred qualifications may have an advantage in the selection process but lacking them does not necessarily disqualify someone from consideration.

 

Must pass a GD&T Mechanical exam with a 90% or better.

A high school diploma and 2-3 years of inspection experience are required, with preferred qualifications including a high level of GD&T understanding.

Qualifications

Requirements:
Candidate must have practical experience performing in-process and final inspections on complex machined parts, assemblies, and / or sub-assemblies. The inspections will be performed to engineering requirements specified per ANSI Y14.5 – Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) or equivalent standard. Must have the ability to read / interpret engineering drawings and Purchase Orders (POs). The candidate must have experience using various mechanical inspection tools, such as micrometers and calipers. Experience performing First Article Inspections (FAIs) in accordance to the AS9102 standard and knowledge is required. Ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years experience performing inspections in aerospace or military / defense manufacturing with proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel. Candidate should be computer savvy and own a laptop for this assignment.
