Overview

Position: Conformity Inspector

Location: Newport Beach, CA

Duration: 2 and a half months contract

Frequency: 4hrs per week / part-time

 

Inspection of Cadmium coated and brushed aerospace components.

 

The support will include:

  • Visual inspection of cadmium coated and brushed aerospace components prior to shipment
  • Verification of dimensional characteristics using hand measurement equipment (e.g. micrometers, calipers, gauges)
  • Review of documentation including Certificates of Conformance (CofCs), routing / traveller records, and special process paperwork
  • Verification of serialisation, identification, and traceability
  • Documenting and reporting non-conformances in accordance with customer procedures
  • Providing inspection status updates to the customer Quality organisation

 

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years’ aerospace manufacturing or inspection experience
  • Experience with surface finish / special process components (e.g. anodising, chrome, cadmium, passivation, shot-peening). Experience with nickel plating advantageous but not essential
  • Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T
  • Hands-on experience using standard inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges)
  • Understanding of AS9100 requirements and aerospace quality controls advantageous
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to work independently while representing the customer professionally
