Job Description:
- The work scope of this position will require the candidate to live in/near 50 miles radius of (Chicago, IL) areas.

Currently seeking a First Article Inspector to support our customer in Red Oak, TX.
The inspector will be responsible for inspecting completed structural assemblies as per the customer requirements and report any non-conformance.
Job Description :
- Perform FAI inspection of completed assemblies at customer site
- Perform source inspections of the structural and mechanical installations required by the documentation
- Ensure parts are conformed to the engineering requirements and the documentation
- Identify and document any non-conformance
- Ensure shipping inspection document is accurate and complete
- Interact directly with the supplier in order to coordinate and schedule deliveries with the Verify customer.
- Ensure parts will be delivered on time
Requirements:
The candidate has:
- Must have over 10 years of experience in Aerospace
- Candidates must have recent experience with validating FAIs to AS9102
- Experience with Net inspect
- Inspector must have practical experience performing receiving inspection on machined parts, assemblies, and / or sub-assemblies.
- The inspections will be performed to engineering requirements specified per ANSI Y14.5 – Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) or equivalent standard.
- Must have the ability to read / interpret engineering drawings and Purchase Orders (POs).
- The inspector must have experience using various mechanical inspection tools, such as micrometers and calipers.
- Experience in Expediting part through the manufacturing process
- Experience in Project Management
- Experience making status review and report.

Frequency: Approx. 8 hours per week. May fluctuate depending on supplier activity
Job Description:
- Candidate will be conducting source inspection at supplier location.
- Should be knowledgeable in electronics commodities and defense requirements and able to review supplier PO's and required certs.
- Will be inspecting RF and Microwave Assemblies.
- The quality inspector shall travel to various supplier facilities to perform visual and dimensional inspections on manufactured parts, assemblies, and / or sub-assemblies.
- Parts will be inspected to engineering drawings, customer purchase order(s), industry standards, and specifications.
- The inspector will be required to report inspection accept / reject information directly to the customer via web application
Requirements:
- Current IPC-620 Certification Required
- Minimum 5 years mechanical source inspection experience. Experience must be within the last 2 years in aerospace or military / defense manufacturing.
- Minimum 2 years of hands on first article inspection (FAI) experience to AS9102. This must be a strong knowledge and understanding.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience inspecting Complex Machine Parts/Assemblies/Composite Parts.
- Candidate must have a strong knowledge and understand of GD&T per ANSI Y. 14.5
- Knowledge of tight tolerance is required.
- Candidate must have mobile phone availability and their own laptop, with e-mail and internet access, to bring on site to the supplier location.
